We are delighted that we've been chosen to be the official bookseller at the very first Leicester Book Festival. The festival events are a celebration of books and stories at various venues in Leicester and Leicestershire and there's something for everyone. Do visit their website for all the details. All the books featured are available from us now, either in store, or you can order via message or phone.

In the last three years, The Bookshop has founded four reading groups which meet regularly at various venues and many of you out there belong to bookclubs set up with friends or through the library. However, not everyone can commit to attending a monthly meeting or to finishing a book in a set amount of time and indeed not everyone is able to get to a bookshop or library for one reason or another.
That’s where The Kibworth Community Bookclub comes in!
Members will receive 6 or 4 books each year - depending on the subscription - delivered to their door every 2 or 3 months. Everyone will receive the same book each session which means many Kibworthians could be reading the same story at the same time. This means you could form your own club with your friends over a coffee or dinner, spark up an impromptu chat with your neighbour about the book over the garden fence, or simply independently enjoy a selection of new novels throughout the year. There are also packages for children running along the same lines, the books chosen depending on age: pre-school, primary and young adult. Not only is this a great opportunity to discover new books for yourself or for your family, it’s also a stress-free way of building up your home library as the books are delivered to your door. A twelve month adult subscription costs £48 for 6 books and £32 for 4 books; child subscription is £42 for 6 books and £28 for 4 books (delivery is included in the price).
To subscribe, drop us a line on 0116 2791121, email us at info@thebookshopkibworth.com or pop into the shop.
